Well, you know, there’s this thing called the UFC, right? It’s a place where fighters fight, real tough ones. And just like in any other sport, they got different weight classes. Now, for the women fighters, they don’t have as many classes as the men, but still enough to make it exciting. I’ll tell ya about these weight divisions, so y’all can understand how it works. Grab a seat, and let me tell you.

Womens UFC Weight Divisions: Complete Breakdown of All 4 Classes

So first off, the smallest one for women is called the Strawweight. It’s for the gals who weigh up to 115 pounds. Now, that’s not much, but don’t let that fool ya. These women can throw punches like nobody’s business. You gotta be quick, fast, and smart in that weight class, ‘cause the little ones sure don’t mess around.

Next up, we got the Flyweight division. This one’s for the women who weigh up to 125 pounds. It’s still a pretty small class, but they’re a bit heavier than the Strawweights. These ladies are usually pretty nimble, and they’ve gotta be sharp with their moves, y’know? Fast feet, quick jabs, and they’re always on the move. Ain’t no room for slacking here.

Then we got the Bantamweight class. These gals weigh up to 135 pounds. Now, we’re talking about women who’ve got a bit more muscle to ‘em, but still keeping their speed. They’re tough, they can hit hard, and they know how to take a hit too. This division’s got some serious action, let me tell ya.

Now, here’s where things start gettin’ a little tricky. You see, there used to be a Featherweight division for women, but it ain’t what it used to be. A lot of folks say it might even disappear, ‘cause it’s been pretty empty. I mean, they haven’t had a title defense since 2021! Ain’t that somethin’? There just ain’t enough fighters to fill up the ranks, and it’s been a struggle. UFC president Dana White even said it might go away for good after Amanda Nunes retired. But, who knows? Things change all the time, don’t they?

So right now, with the Featherweight division on thin ice, the UFC has only got four active weight divisions for women fighters. But let me tell ya, these ladies don’t need no more than that to show what they got. They’re tough, they’re fast, and they’re always lookin’ for that next big fight.

Each of these divisions has its own set of rules, and the fighters gotta weigh in before each bout. They can’t be too heavy or too light, or they get disqualified. It’s a real strict business, I’ll tell ya. But, in the end, it’s all about skill. You gotta know how to throw a punch, how to defend, and how to outlast your opponent. That’s what makes these women real warriors, no matter which division they fight in.

Now, you might be wonderin’, how do these divisions compare to the men’s weight classes? Well, the men got more options, that’s for sure. They got weight divisions for men all the way from Flyweight at 125 pounds, up to Heavyweight at 265 pounds! But women, well, we keep it a little simpler. And honestly, that’s okay. Sometimes, less is more. Keeps things neat, ya know?

Anyway, that’s the rundown of the women’s UFC weight divisions. Whether you’re a fan of the fast-and-light Strawweights or the strong-and-quick Bantamweights, there’s a division for every type of fighter. And, no matter what weight class they’re in, these women are out there fightin’ for glory, and that’s somethin’ we can all admire.
