This deal, it’s for four years. That means from, uh, 2022 to 2025, he’s playin’ for them Mets and gettin’ paid all that money. They say he got some of that money right off the bat, like a, uh, “sign-in bonus,” they called it. Five million dollars just for sayin’ he’d play! Shoot, I’d sign anything for that kinda money.
They say he gets, uh, around 19 and a half million dollars every year. Now, that’s what I call a good day’s work. Even though I reckon he works at night too, playin’ them baseball games under the lights. Seems kinda backwards to me, but hey, what do I know?

Over 15 years! That’s just… well, it’s a whole lot of money. Makes that 78 million look like chicken feed, almost. Almost.
Starling, he used to play for other teams too. Pittsburgh Pirates, Arizona Diamondbacks, Miami Marlins… He’s been around the block, you could say. But now he’s with the Mets, and he’s gettin’ paid the big bucks.
