Alright, let’s talk about this Micah Parsons fella and his forty time, you know, that runnin’ thing they do in football. I ain’t no expert, mind you, but I heard folks talkin’ ’bout it, so I figured I’d chime in.
Now, they say this boy, Micah, he ran that forty-yard dash in, what was it, 4.36 seconds? That’s fast, real fast. Faster than a greased piglet at the county fair, I tell ya. They say he did it back in 2021 at somethin’ called the NFL combine. Sounds fancy. Probably a bunch of fellas in tight pants runnin’ around.
Folks keep bringin’ up this forty time, like it’s the most important thing. They say he did it again at some “pro day” thing before the draft. Guess it means he’s good at runnin’ fast in a straight line. Well, that’s all well and good, but can he catch a chicken? That’s what I wanna know.
See, this Micah fella, he plays for the Cowboys. Don’t know much about them Cowboys, but I hear they’re a football team. And this Micah, he’s a linebacker, whatever that means. Sounds like he stands around and tackles folks. Well, runnin’ fast probably helps with that, I reckon.

- Tackles people? Guess so.
They got this show, too, “Hard Knocks” they call it. Showed this Micah boy wantin’ to play more in some preseason game. Well, if he’s so fast, I guess they should let him play more. Makes sense to me.
But here’s the thing, they say he hasn’t picked off any passes this season. Now, I ain’t sure what a “pick off” is, but it sounds important. Maybe he’s too busy runnin’ around fast to catch those passes? Someone should tell him to slow down a bit and catch the ball, like you catch a runaway rooster.
This whole forty-yard dash thing, it’s kinda like weighin’ a hog at the market. You want a big, heavy hog, right? But a heavy hog don’t mean it’s gonna be tasty bacon. Same with this Micah fella. Runnin’ fast is good, but you gotta do more than just run fast to be good at football.
I heard some folks sayin’ he’s a star. Well, maybe he is. But a star gotta shine bright, not just run fast. He needs to be catchin’ them passes, or whatever it is they want him to do.
Anyways, that’s my two cents on this Micah Parsons and his forty time. He’s fast, that’s for sure. But there’s more to football than just runnin’, just like there’s more to farmin’ than just plantin’ seeds. You gotta tend to them crops, keep the critters away, and pray for rain. Same with football, I guess. Gotta do it all to be the best.
So, yeah, 4.36 seconds. Fast as a whip. But can he bring home the bacon? That’s the real question.
