- Tilted Towers was a real mess. Buildings everywhere, folks shootin’ from windows, buildin’ like crazy.
- Retail Row, that was more my speed. Little shops, places to hide. You could get the drop on someone if you were sneaky.
Now, some folks say this new map, it’s too flat. Like a pancake, they say. And you know what? I kinda agree. This old map, it had hills, it had mountains. You could climb up high and see for miles. Or you could hide in a valley and ambush some poor soul. It was more… strategic, ya see?
And the size! Lordy, some folks think it was smaller, but I swear it felt bigger. Maybe it’s just ’cause I didn’t know every nook and cranny like I do now. But them hills, they weren’t straight up cliffs like you see sometimes now. They were gradual, so you could actually walk up ’em without buildin’ a whole staircase. Made for some good sneakin’ around.
This old map, it had a better feel to it too. More texture, more… I don’t know the word, but it just felt… better. The way the trees looked, the way the ground felt under your feet… it was all just… more. More real, I guess. Gameplay was better too, if you ask me. Less jumpin’ around like a bunch of jackrabbits, more actual fightin’.
And the weapons! Don’t even get me started on the weapons. These new guns, they’re all fancy and complicated. This old map, it had good ol’ guns. Shotguns that packed a punch, rifles that were reliable. You knew what you were gettin’ with them guns, ya know? No fancy lasers or nothin’ like that. Just good, honest firepower.
I hear tell they’re bringin’ this old map back for good. Said it’s gonna be there as long as the game is. Now, that’s somethin’ I can get behind. Them young’uns, they can have their fancy new maps. But I guess these young’uns, they like their maps for gettin’ better. Jivan maps, forever zone wars, all that stuff. Headshot maps, too. Only way to kill someone is with a headshot. Crazy stuff, I tell ya. But hey, if it helps them get better, more power to ’em. Me? I’ll stick to what I know.
